Our Health Guarantee

We guarantee our puppies to be in good health to the best of our knowledge. All shots are up to date and any abnormalities will be disclosed to the buyer. A deposit of $200 will hold the puppy of your choice until that puppy is ready to be delivered or picked up. Deposits are non-refundable. Puppies may be severely stressed by the change in their environment. Minor problems such as diarrhea, coccidiosis, wormy stool, etc., may occur and must be treated. These conditions are the responsibility of you, the buyer, and should be checked by a veterinarian.

Minor health problems that can be cured by medication or surgery are not covered by our guarantee.

The deposit amount of $200 is included in the adoption fee of each puppy. Rather you place only the deposit or pay the full adoption fee, the $200 deposit will not be refunded unless illness or death of your puppy occurs before the puppy leaves our care. This deposit covers our vet costs, advertising, time spent talking to the buyer, and the work/effort put into taking nice quality pictures/vidoes should the adopting family back out of taking puppy. Please be serious about adopting a puppy prior to placing a deposit.

Buyer’s Responsibilities:

Order our recommended brand of puppy food prior to your puppy joining your family. Information about our preferred food is provided on our "Care and Nutrition" page. Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 2 business (working) days of delivery. We realize that getting an appointment for your new puppy on a Friday or Saturday is not always possible. If you receive your puppy on a Friday, you will need to have your licensed veterinarian examine the puppy no later than Tuesday of the following week. We must be informed immediately of the examination's result by e-mail or by telephone. Failure to complete this crucial step will terminate the health guarantee on your puppy. This guarantee will then be null and void.

Be sure to provide your puppy with routine preventive care, such as, but not limited to:

* Annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian.

* Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and deworming.

Health Guarantee:

Your puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against fatal and life altering congenital diseases which adversely affect the health of the animal. This includes kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life threatening or altering nature. We also offer a one year guarantee against severe hip dysplasia. If the dog dies within one year of his/her birthdate, you must pay to have it necropsied to ascertain reason of death. If reason is congenital, we will replace the puppy, excluding transportation costs where applicable. Any abnormality found by our vet during the puppy's first vet exams will be disclosed to the buyer then noted with the puppy's information and is not covered by our guarantee.

All items covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. We do not give refunds in part or in full.

A puppy showing any serious genetic or congenital defect will be replaced as follows:

* The puppy/dog must show the defect by one year of age for congenital disease and one year of age for hip dysplasia. We must be notified of the problem within two (2) business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have one (1) report from an un-associated veterinarian stating the same problem. We will then provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value as soon as one is available.

* A puppy with a defect must be returned to us in good condition, other than the specified problem or euthanized with our permission at your expense to qualify for a replacement puppy.

No replacement puppy will be given if your puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered, or euthanized without our permission.

The replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents as the original puppy.

You are responsible for transportation costs to and from us on a replacement puppy.

No refund, in part or in full, will be given at any time.

This guarantee applies to the original puppy only and is nontransferable to a second party.

We will not be held responsible for any medical expenses incurred. You, as the buyer, are fully aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understand that you will be responsible for all payments to the veterinarian.

As of the date of delivery, your puppy has received proper vaccinations and has been de-wormed on a strict schedule. You have been informed of the puppy's vaccination and de-worming schedule and agree to talk to and follow your vet's recommendation about future vaccinations and de-wormings that will be due.

This guarantee does not cover Coccidia and Kennel Cough, which are common in puppies that are shipped and is usually caused by bacteria. Kennel Cough is self-limiting and, like the common cold, must run its course. Full recovery is expected and Kennel Cough, on its own, is not life threatening.

There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, such as but not limited to: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, cancer, tumors, growths, scabies, mite related illness and other autoimmune disorders which are not covered by this guarantee.

Any physical problem which is or could be the result of injury is not covered under this guarantee. Do not allow your puppy to jump off of any furniture or fall from any height. A fall or jump of a few inches can cause injury to your puppy's back. The long back of the Dachshund is especially prone to injury from falls or jumps so please take care with your puppy and ensure proper activity to prevent injury.

There is no guarantee that you will be able to show or breed your puppy regardless of show or breeding potential. Our puppies are intended to be pets only.

Transportation/Delivery:

Transportation costs are non-refundable once the puppy has left our care.

Transportation to most major international airports is available for Dachshund babies and we are happy to look into the cost of booking a flight for you. Air transport is not available for Boxers unless you can arrange to come and fly with your puppy or hire a puppy nanny to fly with your Boxer puppy in-cabin immediately after he/she reaches 8 weeks of age. Currently, our preferred method of transport is ground delivery due to the limitations of the airlines. Ground delivery fees can vary depending upon the company used but we can usually arrange delivery within the continental USA directly to your front door for around $500.

Your puppy can be shipped at eight (8) weeks of age or anytime there after. The airlines and ground delivery companies will not ship a puppy that is less than eight (8) weeks old.
